ALF Supports Animal Rescue Organizations

One of Amanda’s greatest loves was of the four-legged type. She loved animals and through the years she had several pets big and small. Through our support of groups like the Houston Humane Society and Who Rescued Who, our foundation aims to give animals a kind and loving forever home. ALF believes every animal deserves as much unconditional love as they give to their human friends.

Did you know? Amanda’s first dog was adopted and rescued from the Houston SPCA. He was a terrier mix with white and brown patches and after some deliberation, we named him Roscoe, well because he looked like a Roscoe (judge for yourself from this picture).

Little known fact - Amanda and her sister once rescued a pair of kittens abandoned by their mother in our chimney. Amanda and her sister Becky proceeded to care and feed the kittens with tiny bottles filled with baby formula. At times they even had to assist in the kittens’ bowel movements when they went through bouts of constipation (ewww……these girls were dedicated!) Oh and they decided to name the kittens Axel and Slash after the band Guns N Roses lead singer and lead guitarist!
